Experiencing Emotionally Significant Hockey Withdrawals
I live in the California desert with my husband, who has been part of my rebuilding, the late-night conversations, the music, the messy middle of becoming who I am now, and ongoing war against buying “just one more” book. I’m a writer, poetry student, mother of five, and someone who’s spent most of her life trying to turn heavy things into something beautiful.
I’m finishing my degree in Creative Writing and English with a concentration in Poetry, while building my first collection of poems rooted in grief, faith, survival, nostalgia, and the strange art of rebuilding yourself after life knocks the wind out of you.
Most of my writing lives somewhere between soft and sarcastic. I write about memory, motherhood, healing, heartbreak, and late-night thoughts.
When I’m not writing, I’m probably reading smut, yelling at referees during Firebirds hockey games, watching shitty thrillers, overthinking song lyrics, wandering bookstores, or convincing myself I absolutely need another book nook despite having nowhere left to put them.
This little corner of the internet is part journal, part archive, and part beautifully organized chaos.
I’m glad you found it.
